See you at BioTech Forum + Scanlab 2004
Come and meet Ström & Gulliksson´s life science team at stand C2-040 at BioTech Forum + Scanlab 2004. This year the event is being held at the Bella Center in Copenhagen on October 5-7. BioTech Forum was set up by the Stockholm Trade Fair three years ago and has developed into one of the biggest and most important venues in Europe where people within the area of biotechnology can meet up. The Stockholm Trade Fair and the Bella Center in Denmark have joined forces and this collaborative venture means that Scandinavia is expected to further consolidate its position in the field of biotechnology.
   BioTech Forum Science Conference, BioTech Forum Business Summit, and BioTech Forum Exhibition are all part of this year’s events. Scientific lectures will be given at the conference to audiences comprising researchers and students from hospitals, universities and the biotechnology industry. The second event is a forum aimed at executives and decision makers from the life science industry. The third event is a trade fair with a focus on research and development and laboratory equipment within the area of biotechnology. All in all, some 10.000 participants are expected to attend this year´s event.
   Ström & Gulliksson will be participating in the exhibition this year, with intellectual property specialists within biotechnology, medicine, chemistry, and related areas. They will be joined by advocates and attorneys-at-law who specialize in intellectual property law and corporate law and by intellectual property specialists from Ström & Gulliksson´s fellow subsidiary, Plougmann & Vingtoft, from Denmark.

Plougmann & Vingtoft sets up local office in Norway
As of 1 January 2004, Plougmann & Vingtoft is operating locally in Norway from their new office in Oslo. The Manager of Plougmann & Vingtoft in Norway is Sindre-Jacob Bostad. He is an attorney-at-law and has more than 18 years of experience within the field of intellectual property rights. In the past, he has worked for among others the Norwegian Patent Office, Norsk Hydro's patent department, Defensor, and most recently Bryn & Aarflot as Managing Director. Sindre-Jacob Bostad also has vast expertise within licensing of intellectual property rights and has been elected President of LES Scandinavia for the period 2002-2004.
